Well, now that you've gotten to this page you know what the big surprise is. Yes, we are having a baby. I had a great page going but in the creation of a new general photo page I accidently copied it to the HTML for this page & all is lost. Really bummed about that.
Here is our first ultrasound pictures. At this point we didnt know what we were having!
What I can tell you is that the OBGYN visits have been great. The baby is doing fantastic. I only wish Wendy was as fortunate. I feel bad because she has had a bad pregnancy. After about a month she began getting morning sickness. Though, hers was not really in the morning. She had Late Morning/Early Afternoon sickness. She wouldnt feel good from about 10:30am to about 3pm. Those were the possible yacking times. From that she felt good until about Thanksgiving. That week I stayed out in the rain to shield her with an umbrella from a good downpour we were having & I got sick. From that, she did because her resistence was low. I got better in about 2 weeks but poor Wendy was sick all the way through New Years. It went from a cold to Sinusitis as well as Bronchitus & she's had 2 UTI's with all of this. The cough got so bad that she eventually pulled a round ligament in her left side. These are stretching already to give the baby room but she did a number on herself! After taking a few days off before Xmas she WAS feeling better but pulled it again & heard it pop. Suffered through a day at work & I mean suffered...by Saturday morning before Xmas she was in so much pain we had her driven by ambulance to the hospital. 6am we rushed her. They gave her some medications, monitored her for a few hours & we went home. The baby was fine. It was just Wendy having a hard time. It has been a hard pregnancy for her & I try to do everything possible to help her out. We were at the OBGYN's on New Years Eve for a check up & got a new pic to share & after a 90% guess we believe it is confirmed...so I am about to introduce you to Sara Ann! These pics below show her looking right at you. We actually had a better view of her when we rushed Wendy to the hospital. It was up in Cleveland at Lake West & they had a great ultrasound machine. Very clear. The woman there was almost positive it was a girl but on New Years Eve it was confirmed.
Well here it is February and we went to the doctors today...Feb 11th, 2002. Everything looks good. Wendy's health is doing better. The baby Sara is doing just fine! As of today she is 3 lbs. 3 oz. and about 15 inches long. The ultrasound girl checked her measurements and everything is normal. Sara's heartbeat went from 145 two weeks ago down to 132 this week. Thats normal as well, we were told. As time goes by & she grows and developed the heartbeat slows down to a normal rate. We had a good ultrasound today. She showed us all of Sara and she looks good. We could even see the features on her face pretty good & I am putting the most recent Sara shots up below. Now....Daddy has to get crackin' on the baby's room.....huh Momma?
The day after the above appointment Wendy had to go to the office next door to get tested for gestantional diabetes. She had originally went with my mom, but that test had come back slightly elevated so they made her come back for a 3 hour test. We all figured the cup of coffee & bagel that morning probably made it elevated. Well she went for the 3 hour test & they called her back in one day to say everything was fine. SO FAR SO GOOD!
